Fasting at A10 Week 1

Tomorrow is our first fasting day. We will be doing this together every Wednesday. You can check the page each week for a thought on fasting and for you to post whatever you would like about fasting. I thought the blog page would be better than blowing up your email box each week and also better than a Facebook group in case some people aren’t on facebook.

For me, I will be fasting tomorrow for breakfast and lunch. I’m praying and fasting for our Area 10 Vision night tomorrow night at Movement Church. I really want that to be a great night and I’m praying God shows up in our gathering in a big way. That is really on my heart right now.

In addition to that I will be praying for various prayer requests around the church and amongst my friends. I’m toying with the idea of doing something with the money I would’ve spent on eating and using it to help those in need. I have some thoughts on that but I’ll develop them more and tell you about that in the weeks to come.

Thanks for joining me on this journey. Remember at first you will feel mostly just hungry. But just like you can’t go to the gym one time and expect dramatic results, you also can’t fast one time and expect a revolution. Let’s do this for the long haul. This is a marathon of a spiritual discipline, not a sprint.
